Shark Alert ! RoHo MBA's bite off their first live business consultancy

Shark BITE:  Ouch !

This week the Royal Holloway MBA's took on their first live business consultancy, thanks to a long standing and highly innovative partnership with Thorpe Park Resort, now in its fifth annual iteration.  There was an autumnal chill in the air, as the season ending finale Fright Night celebration was in full swing - Halloween themed pumpkins and spiders webs adorned the park scape -  offering teenagers their last chance for big roller coaster thrills before the winter shut down period.

MBA candidates were briefed by a team of marketing managers, lead by alumnus Jack Du Pille, who were interested in exploring strategic opportunities to develop the resort's on site over night accommodation offering further.

RoHo MBA's bite off their first live business consultancy looking at the Shark Hotel concept at Thorpe Park Resort

An ultra flexible and highly innovative container hotel concept has successfully evolved over the last three years, growing in 30 unit increments each year to the current capacity of 90 (including three larger units for customers with disabilities).  The fun shark and beach theme draws on the picturesque island edge lakeside location, which is designated a site of special scientific interest (SSSI).

Whilst building their theoretical marketing knowledge in the autumn term, MBA groups will develop a strategic consulting pitch to offer their proposed solution to the 'what next ?' challenge that has been laid down by Thorpe Park Resort.
